Dragon’s Back starts off with switchbacks on a well-maintained trail near Twin Lakes and moves toward more rugged singletrack about halfway up the mountain. WebIt’s steep! But the views are worth it. On the way back down you get sweeping views of all the Mammoth Lakes. Part way up the trail you’ll get to a fork, to the left is dragons back, middle is seven lakes loop and right is to a lava tube. I prefer to make it a loop, go up the middle path towards seven lakes loop.
