Its not required to have the "Autoloot" option in gw2 checked, though its recommended. The tool will work as usual but you wont see any dropped items if the option is not checked. Doesn't seem like that big a hassle, tbh. If you have and complete Season 2 you get another 8 btw, which would be 17 of the 19 you need.
